thanks so much to everyone who wished me a happy birthday! those of you who didn't, i don't like you very much!!!
i had a wonderful day with my family, most of which was spent out on the plaza, ironically, where i was born, sixteen years ago to date. mom, maddie and i went to westport for brunch at korma, followed by some bubble tea at tea drops, then later on we headed over to the plaza for a book signing of one of my favorite authors, lauren oliver. she wished me a happy birthday and we chatted a bit and doodled in my books ++ we got a picture with her. she was pretty spectacular and super funny.
then we went on to brio (+ my father) to have some food, followed by dessert at the melting pot (FONDUE!!!) where hollie, saad, jamie and sean met up with us. upon arriving, a little girl about three years old at the table next to us let me borrow her tiara for the night when she heard it was my birthday. i felt so special.
when i got home, i had a beautiful, brand new record player waiting for me. the only album we have on vinyl at the moment is my mom's shaun cassidy one that i bought her at a thrift store last year. we played that and had a jam sesh.
last but not least, my parents decided they're gonna take maddie and i on a little trip the first week of november to seattle and portland. i'm so excited i can't even stand it.
thank you again, everyone!
your life is magical. also, i had a dream that we went to meet some dude in some band that you loved, and he loved you and carried you around on his shoulders. i don't know why but it was pretty cool.
