on wednesday (oct. 24th) at four o'clock in the morning, we got up and headed to the airport for the beginning of our little trip out to washington + oregon.
our first stop was seattle
we spent a couple days in downtown seattle, although the experience wasn't that great, as i was jet lagged, homesick, and just pretty much under the weather. i didn't want to do anything besides curl up in the hotel bed and complain about wanting to go home.
on our first day, we managed to make it out to pike place market to look for some lunch (which took about an hour because we couldn't find a place to park or anything we wanted to eat and we were all cranky from being super tired and hungry) but things started looking up after we started conversing with the wonderful locals. everyone in both seattle + portland were so kind and warm and friendly. i ended up going back to the hotel and passing out for the evening, and did so again the following day after our visit to the seattle great wheel. it wasn't the best start to our trip to say the least, but it got better. more photos to come soon.
